NFL Power Rankings Post 2021 Draft
1. Kansas City Chiefs
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +500 (No. 1)
Through shrewd moves in free agency and the NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs addressed their biggest weakness: the offensive line. With a new group of maulers paving the way, Kansas City is the league’s safest bet to be a Super Bowl contender again in 2021.
2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +650
3. Buffalo Bills
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +1200
4. Los Angeles Rams
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +1300
The San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams are grouped together in both the odds and power rankings. Both organizations feature top-tier head coaches and elite rosters on paper. Both will also go as far as their new franchise QBs can take them. Experience gives Matthew Stafford and the Rams the edge over the Trey Lance- and Jimmy Garoppolo-led 49ers.
5. San Francisco 49ers
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +1300
6. Cleveland Browns
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +1800
The Cleveland Browns have assembled a super team. The roster is loaded with top-tier talent at pretty much every position. Baker Mayfield will need to take a leap in order for this team to make good on all the pre-season hype, but that’s very possible considering his supporting cast.
7. Baltimore Ravens
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +1400
8. Green Bay Packers
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +1600
This ranking is somewhat of a hedge. Depending on what happens with the Aaron Rodgers situation, the Green Bay Packers will either be much higher or lower on the next iteration of this list.
9. Seattle Seahawks
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +2300
10. Los Angeles Chargers
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +3100
11. Indianapolis Colts
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +2400
12. Miami Dolphins
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +3000
13. New Orleans Saints
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +2600
14. New England Patriots
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +3100
The New England Patriots answered pretty much every question on their roster through the draft and free agency. But this team will only go as far as Cam Newton and/or Mac Jones can take it. Both options remain major question marks, so it’s hard to rank NE higher than slightly above average.
15. Washington Football Team
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +5000
16. Tennessee Titans
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +3000
The Tennessee Titans lost a ton of talent this offseason. We also don’t know how this offense will fare without OC Arthur Smith, who was an integral part of building that unit. Mix in some questions on defense, and a team with back-to-back playoff appearances starts to look pretty average.
17. Arizona Cardinals
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +4000
18. Pittsburgh Steelers
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +3600
19. Dallas Cowboys
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +3000
20. Denver Broncos
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +1700
This roster is stacked from top to bottom. All that’s missing is a quarterback. If the Denver Broncos land Aaron Rodgers, look out. If they don’t, it’s hard to see Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater doing anything of significance.
21. Minnesota Vikings
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +4000
22. Chicago Bears
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +4800
If Justin Fields is as good as advertised, No. 22 is way too low. But he’s still an unknown, and Andy Dalton could win the job for at least some of the season. This feels about right for now.
23. Atlanta Falcons
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +5000
The Atlanta Falcons offense will need to be 2016-level dominant for this team to do anything in 2021. That’s actually possible considering the coach they brought in and their skill-position group, but defense is a worry.
24. Carolina Panthers
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +6500
25. New York Giants
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +6500
26. Las Vegas Raiders
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +6500
27. Cincinnati Bengals
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +8000
28. Jacksonville Jaguars
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +10000
29. New York Jets
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +10000
30. Philadelphia Eagles
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +8500
31. Detroit Lions
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +15000
32. Houston Texans
Odds to Win Super Bowl LVI: +13000
The Houston Texans probably have the least talented roster in the NFL. The litany of questions surrounding Deshaun Watson certainly doesn’t help matters. Houston will likely be picking No. 1 this time next year.
