Coronavirus sports betting Update: The coronavirus disease COVID-19 outbreak has shaken the sports betting world to its core, cancelling and postponing events all across the globe. Meaning sports bettors will have to hang tight for the time being.

Here is a list of sporting events that have been cancelled or postponed as of Friday morning due to the Coronavirus. The Coronavirus has put Sports betting on hold for a period of time.

NBA

• The NBA suspended its season indefinitely Wednesday, March 11. Utah Jazz players Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell have tested positive for COVID-19.

NCAA BASKETBALL

• All conference tournaments, which of course includes the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, SEC and Pac-12 have been cancelled. As a result, the men’s and women’s NCAA national tournaments are canceled, along witht the College World Series in the spring.

MLB

• The MLB has suspended all operations indefinitely and could move back the start of the regular season which is scheduled to begin March 26.

NHL

• The NHL has suspended the season indefinitely with the goal of continuing the season and competing for the Stanley Cup at some point.

PGA

• The PGA Tour cancelled the Players Championship after Thursday’s opening round. The next three events on the PGA Tour have also been cancelled. That includes the Valsapar Championship, the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play and the Valero Texas Open.

THE MASTERS

* The Masters Tournament at Augusta National will be postponed. The first major championship of the golf season was scheduled for April 9-12. It is unclear when the competition will be rescheduled.

EUROPEAN SOCCER

• Most major European club soccer leagues have been postponed, including Champions League fixtures, English Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1.

MLS

• The MLS has officially suspended its season for 30 days.

NASCAR

* NASCAR has postponed its next two race weekends in Atlanta and Homestead in Miami.

ATP

• The ATP announced all professional men’s tennis tournaments will be suspended for the next six weeks.

 

The Coronavirus has put Sports betting on hold for a period of time but there are still sports betting on darts, horse racing, nascar and other sports betting events.
