The 2019 College Football Season has a few top-25 clashes in Week 8. Here’s a look at the opening odds for the games happening this weekend.
The featured game of the week is in the Big Ten, as No. 7 Penn State plays host to No. 16 Michigan on Saturday at 7:30PM ET. According to the latest oddsmakers, Penn State is the favorite at home, as the Nittany Lions are getting odds of -7.5 points against Michigan. The Wolverines are 5-0 on the season, 1-1 on the road, 3-1 in the Big Ten and 2-4 against the spread. Penn State is 6-0 on the season, 4-0 at home, 3-0 in the Big Ten and 4-2 against the spread. Michigan has won and covered the spread in four of the last five meetings with Penn State, but the Nittany Lions had a 42-13 win in the last encounter at Happy Valley.
Another featured game this week comes in the Pac-12, with No. 13 Utah playing host to No. 17 Arizona State on Saturday at 6PM ET. According to oddsmakers, Utah is the favorite at home, as the Utes are getting odds of -13.5 points against Arizona State. ASU is 5-1 on the season, 2-0 on the road, 2-1 in the Pac-12 and 3-3 against the spread. Utah is 5-1 overall, 3-0 at home, 2-1 in the Pac-12 and 3-3 against the spread. Arizona State has won and covered the spread in the last two encounters, including a 30-10 win at Utah in 2017.
