The 2019 College Football Season has a great slate of games set for Week 11. Here’s a look at the opening odds for this week’s games.
The featured game of the week is in the SEC as 1 vs. 2 is set to take place. The game has No. 2 Alabama playing host to top-ranked LSU on Saturday at 3:30PM ET. According to the latest oddsmakers, Alabama is favored in this game, as the Crimson Tide are getting odds of -5.5 points against LSU. Both teams come into this game at 8-0 on the season. LSU is 4-0 in the SEC and 5-3 against the spread, while Alabama is 5-0 in the SEC and 4-4 against the spread. The big question for this game is the status of Bama QB Tua Tagovailoa. He recently had surgery on an ankle sprain, but isn’t being ruled out for the contest as of now. Alabama has won eight straight in this series, going 6-2 against the spread in those eight games.
The other featured game of the weekend is in the Big Ten, as No. 13 Minnesota is set to play host to No. 5 Penn State on Saturday at Noon ET. According to oddsmakers, Penn State is favored on the road, as the Nittany Lions are getting odds of -6 points against the Golden Gophers. Both teams come into this contest at 8-0 on the year and 5-0 in the Big Ten. The Gophers are 5-2-1 against the spread while Penn State is 5-3 against the spread. Penn State has won five of its last six against Minnesota while going 4-1-1 against the spread, but the Gophers did win the last meeting in Minnesota back in 2013.
