Hey, don’t look now but the NCAA Football season is less than three weeks away from its start – there’s nearly a dozen on-the-board games on Saturday, August 27th including a Big 10 bash between Nebraska at Northwestern and then some late-night action from the 50th state as Vanderbilt plays at Hawaii.

Meanwhile, we’ll whet your college gridiron appetite with some blow-your-mind spread stats …

Arkansas is an impressive 17-7-1 ATS overall while dating back to late in the 2020 campaign and that includes a snazzy 13-6-1 spread log versus fellow SEC teams …

Since the start of the pandemic-ridden 2020 season, the Baylor Bears are an electric 23-12-1 vig-wise and that features back-to-back year-ending covers last year against Oklahoma State (the Big 12 Championship Game) and Ole Miss (the Sugar Bowl) – and both were outright upsets as 7- and 1-point underdogs …

Last year’s Mizzou Tigers covered four of their final five games – and still finished 4-9 against the odds after starting off the ‘21 season with an NCAA-worst eight consecutive year-opening spread losses …

And, finally, there’s lots and lots of hype surrounding this year’s USC Trojans’ team coached by former Oklahoma boss Lincoln Riley.

But know this: The Troy Boys are a cumulative 21-36 against the odds since the start of the 2017 season. Last year’s wobbly 4-8 ATS mark included six-of-seven spread setbacks to conclude ‘21 and overall USC is an ugly 17-27 spreadwise in Pac-12 play the past five years. Yuck!
